Plastic Oceans is an organization that supports the idea of banning plastic pollution. They want to "inform, inspire, and incite", their goal is to spread awareness. This is important to me because I spend a lot of time in the ocean, wether it be vacations or the summer time I do not want to see plastic in my oceans. This is effecting the marine life in such a way, by 2050 we are expected to have more plastic in our oceans than fish.

Cycle for Survival is an indoor team cycling events to raise funds that are critical for rare cancer research. 100% of the proceeds go to research at Memorial Solan Kettering which is the worlds oldest and largest private cancer center. This charity hits close to home because I lost someone very special to me whose life was taken too soon due to battling one of these rare cancers. I have been fortunate enough to be able to participate in multiple events that Cycle for Survival offers and raises money to a cause that is dedicated to helping others who are suffering.

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®) was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world. Their organization was founded on the belief that animals are entitled to be treated kindly and deserve respectful treatment when in the hands of human care and must be protected under the law. This is something I have always been passionate about, I have a Toy Yorkshire Terrier who is my entire world. I can't believe that someone could injure or abandon an animal that just wants to feel loved. In the future, I plan to rescue at least two dogs that are located in kill shelters.
